DocPlanner, the leading European online appointment booking platform, which had raised Series C round of $20 million last June have raised series D of €15 million. During the Series C funding, it had also announced that it had merged with Doctoralia, an Spanish healthcare platform.
DocPlanner is a two-sided platform that allows a) consumers to make online appointment bookings and b) healthcare professionals to manage their calendar, bookings, patient reviews, etc. It claims to have more than 5 million medical professionals on their platform with more than 340,000 bookings made each month.
With the new round of funding, DocPlanner plans to expand into Latin America by opening new offices in Mexico and Brazil. At the same time, it will invest more in building a better base in Southern Europe. The new round was led by existing investors Enern Investments and Target Global, along with London-based One Peak Partners.
